On May 22, 2024, an informative event for walnut producers was held at our facilities, focusing on the 1st call of the Agro-Environmental Climate Action 70-1.3.2 “Implementation of the method to prevent the coupling of insect pests in crops (CONFUSIO)” of the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy of Greece (CAP) 2023-2027.

For the first time, walnut cultivation is eligible under the CONFUSIO action, opening new opportunities for our producers. This method represents an innovative and environmentally friendly approach to combating insect pests in crops, contributing to sustainable development and crop protection. The goal of this action is to gradually replace chemical control of small-leafed insects, thereby improving water quality and supporting the recovery of biodiversity in the orchards where the action will be implemented.

The presentation was organized in collaboration with ANTHESIS IKE, a company specializing in integrated crop management systems, providing valuable expertise and support to producers.
